IBDP CAS
Activity
As an IB school, the
vision of Cambridge aligns with the program’s mission, “to create a better
world through education.” As a testimony to this notion, our students
demonstrated maturity, confidence and initiative inspired to contribute to a
world that needs them. They have adopted a local park which was desolate and
unkempt. With their drive to support the cause of environmental concerns and
community safety, they have planned to beautify it. With the intention of
service to mankind, this abandoned place will gradually turn into an arena for
all, be it young or the old.
The Baccalaureates are content with the thought of giving to the society and opine that
"It sounded like a big challenge at first, but we were ready to pull up our socks and do it for a noble cause."

Excursion
The attitude
of seeds of curiosity were sown in the minds of IBDP and CIE students of CIFS when they
visited “Pushpa Gujral Science City” on 22.10.16.Children were enthralled on seeing a 3D animation and a laser show. The voyage
to the moon was a world class experience. The dinosaur park was enjoyed the
most by children as they conquered the ostensibly invincible “Apatosaurus”.
Working models of “life through ages” and the climate change theater kept the
learners excited and engrossed. The excursion was a hit among children and
teachers alike.
Grade 6th SST Activity
The Students of grade 6th created a collage to demonstrate their
understanding on mountains, plains and plateaus.
Grade 6th English

punctuation marks of full stop, question mark and exclamation mark as a means
to differentiate between imperative, exclamatory, interrogative and declaration
sentences. They actively participated in the activity and won badges of various
punctuation marks.

THE CAMBRIDGE THRESHOLD
ELUCIDATES ON DIWALI
Cambridge International Foundation School dived into the abundance
of festivity during the Diwali celebration that was organized on 28th
October 2016. The event started with the prayer and an instrumental performance
on the tune of Hey Ram. The PYP students presented a play on the theme of
eco-friendly Diwali. They inspired the audience to the conscious of their
actions towards the earth. This was followed by a speech by Rachel Gupta, who
stood for the cause of cracker-free Diwali as burning crackers lead to an
increment in Child Labour. On the contrary, the needy should be given food and
clothing to realize the real essence of this festival. The IGCSE students
presented a devotional melody which made everyone rejoice in the aura of
divinity, thus created. The students presented dance performances thereby
creating an atmosphere of fervor and delight. The event concluded with a
motivational and gratifying speech by Principal Mr. Stanley Anthony who
inspired the audience to make the festival meaningful by enlightening lives. At
last, everyone participated in the Aarti and sought blessings from the holy
deity.
