IBDP CAS Activity
Cambridge International Foundation School believes
in service to the society through creativity and action. The students of IB and
CIE took the initiative to spread awareness about Prime Minister Modi's policy
of demonetization amongst the support staff of the school which comprises of
drivers, conductors and attendants. They were made to understand the key
points, important dates, the cause and benefits of this policy. This in a way,
also encouraged them to use their existing bank accounts and facilities for a
better future. This noble step was of immense help to these workers as all
their doubts and apprehensions were cleared with wise suggestions and accurate
knowledge.

International Foundation School leaves no stone unturned to bring the learners
at par with the technical trends prevailing in the modern world. To enable
these pupils to introspect where they stand, an I.T. Presentation Competition
was organized wherein six participants represented each house. The seniors made
presentations on the topic Cloud Computing whereas the juniors made them on
Cyber Crime. After making the presentation, they presented their creation to
the audience. The winners were as follows:

day Celebration
Children
are the living messages we send to a time, we will not see. With this notion in
mind, Cambridge International Foundation School celebrated Children's Day and
Gurupurab on November 11, 2016.
The event was organised by the teachers which began with the school prayer. Following this, the school song was sung with high spirits. The staff members acquainted the learners with the ideal fervour of the auspicious day. Shabad gayan by the PYP students lent an aura of piety to the event which was made more profound by Japji Sahib and a mellifluous performance by Mr.Joga.

The enjoyment
unfolded and made the pupils rejoice even more with riddles. A song by Ms.
Preeti delivered a message of perseverance, unity and tolerance.
A scintillating dance performance by the staff left the children mesmerized. Cake cutting by the student’s followed which culminated in pot lunch. The pupils were given time to dance to the tunes of the DJ.
Their day was made special by giving them sweets and chocolates. The event concluded on the Principal's message and national anthem.

Interhouse Science quiz
The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.With this as the underlying notion, Cambridge International Foundation School organized Science quiz on November 16,2016. There were four rounds with questions to kindle the curiosity of young minds. Four teams representing houses Oak, Maple, Cedar and Pine participated in the quiz. The winning team was Maple comprising Navjosh Singh Atwal, Manan Auluck, Dilvir Singh and Nittai Aggarwal. Pine house bagged the Runners up position with Rachel Gupta, Khushi Khanna, Pranay Katyal and Simrandeep Kaur demonstrating flair and vigour. The audience also responded actively to the questions bombarded. The learners enjoyed and gained a lot from the event, making it fruitful.
Tribute to Kartar Singh Saraba
The Cambridge International Foundation fraternity paid homage to the Indian Sikh revolutionary Kartar Singh Sarabha, who was amongst the most famous accused in the Lahore conspiracy trial. A leading luminary of the Ghadar party, Kartar Singh's life based documentary was showcased to make the students aware of his contribution to freedom. The pupils presented poems and speech in different languages. This assembly instilled patriotism in the young hearts and reminded them of the respect deserved by those who fetched us freedom to dwell in.
