Independence Day and janmashtami ceremony was held with full enthusiasm by the students as they presented a mesmerising piece of dance and an enchanting group song that sparked patriotic and cultural feeling in all of us. It is important for each and every child to know the cultural and religious roots of their country and to instill it in our children the assembly was presented that portrayed the importance of the festival janmashtami. It marks the birth of lord Krishna and is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in different parts of our country. The children also celebrated the birth of our God as they dedicated their dance performance to the supreme lord.

‘Thousands laid their lives so that India could breathe. We should never forget their sacrifice.' As our nation will be celebrating its 70th Independence Day so today in school the students of C.I.E. and I.B. celebrated the Independence Day and were full of patriotic fervor. They put up various role plays and other exciting games in order to contribute their share of happiness on this important day. From the first revolt of 1857 upto the current situation of India the students depicted all the shades of the freedom struggle. The consolation prize was won by I.B.D.P. junior, CHECKPOINT 8 got the prize of being the most innovative class and checkpoint 7 was declared the winner as they got the prize for the best class performance. The children enjoyed the event as well as they learnt about the sacrifices of our leaders who gave their lives to attain freedom for us. We all together pay homage to our great warriors because of whom today we can live a peaceful and secured life. Jai Hind!!!

Be the Best Seller Acitivty

Today at school we began the day with an interactive and intersting social studies inter house activity 'Be the best seller' where students from different grades participated and put up a praiseworthy show. The topic was given to the students on the spot where they had to sell a defected product to the buyer. The students exhibited their persuasive skills and persuaded the audience to buy their product. Each house had three participants and the total of each participant counted and took their house towards victory. Maple house won the competition, second position was bagged by Pine house and third was Oak house. The entire competition helped in enhancing the cognitive and speaking skills of the participants.
