English class Activity
The knack of developing sentences is imperative to inculcate effective expression in language. With this as learning objective, a sentence building activity was performed by the students of Checkpoint 7 wherein they were given fragments of sentences. They identified the main clauses and the dependent clauses binding them into complex sentences. The learners demonstrated understanding of subordinating conjunctions which they used to identify the dependent clauses.
The pupils enjoyed the spontaneity of thinking on their toes.

Rolling dice activity

Sentence structure is the foundation on which the language stands. To make the pupils adept at making compound and complex sentences, rolling dice activity was conducted with the seventh graders. The learners framed the two types of sentences matching the clauses on the two dices. This was an initiative to polish their fluency in writing and speaking.
