July Activities

The student Council

The student council is the spine of Cambridge International School. To Strengthen the democratic credibility of the learner fraternity,elections were held for various posts.the following posts were claimed by the winning contenders:
  • President: Navjosh Singh Atwal
  • Vice-President: Dhruv Bhatia
  • Organizer: Apramvir Singh Kular
  • Secretary: Injot Tut
  • Sports Head: Ranvir Singh
  • Cultural Head: Husn Kharabanda
The council members were familiarized with their duties by coordinator Ms. Rashmi Saini.





                                               




The Mathematics quiz

Mathematics is the basis of everyday life. The modern era is the era of quiz, we have quiz on probably every aspect of life. we learn and earn from quiz.
Mathematics quiz is the game of mind, intellectual, interest, power, and joy.Cambridge International Foundation School, organized Inter-House Innovative Science Model Making competition on 27th July 2016.
First position was bagged by MAPLE House
Runner up position was achieved by PINE House







IB Group 4 Project


IB group 4 project on testing of microbial content in different milk samples was done in the month of July 16.
The underpinning objective was to enable the learners to predict shell life of various milk samples. The experiment was an enriching experience where in they could imply the same to real life.
                                       


Patterns in calender

An activity was organised by Mathematics class wherein the students discovered different patterns in the calender.The learners explored the calender.The learners explored the calender from different perspectives and revealed the different figurative designs.This was instrumental in boosting their analytical skills.

                                                                      

GDC training

A workshop was conducted on functioning of  Ti-nspire Graphical Display Calculator. It was lead by a person from Ti-nspire's office in New Delhi, who made Students understand the functioning of the scientific instrument. The workshop lasted for around 3 hours where Students learnt a lot of useful functions in our calculator. He also enlightened them with some tricks and shortcuts, to make calculations more swift and accurate.


Science Modelling

Creativity is an absolute necessity to outshine others in every walk of life. In order to tap the creative talent of the ignited minds of young children, Cambridge International Foundation School, organized Inter-House Innovative Science Model Making competition on 20th July 2016.
         This competition was held in two categories: Senior category (comprising of IGCSE students) and Junior category (comprising of checkpoints 6,7and 8 students). Student came up with their brilliant ideas to use waste materials in making various science models like windmills, vacuum cleaners, projectors, rain water harvesting, water well, water purifier.
  Judgement of this competition was delivered by the honorable C.I.E. Coordinator Ms. Rashmi Saini.
In Junior Category Rachel, Tushti and Karampreet bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Senior Category Lakshay, Alky and Mridul bagged first , second and third positions respectively .

In order to recognize the efforts of young children, special consolation prize was also given to Gunvir Kaur of IGCSE.

PIG COP Presentation

A class presentation on descriptive writing was given by Mantej of checkpoint 7 wherein he discussed a structured called PIG COP ,to write an elaborated description of an object or place.the paradigm was explained with example,to make the discussion more realistic.
                                      

Speaking Activity

A English speaking activity was organized in checkpoint 6 in which the students were called upon to express their views about  Mary Kom or Neerja Bhanot. They Participated enthusiastically demonstrating their flair.
