Language week Celebration
The world is a melting pot of cultural diversity today.This makes the language,a key to growth and understanding of the globally diverse domains.Cambridge makes earnest efforts to create a student community that is not only knowledgeable but also culturally aware,with an intention to expose the students to multiple languages and enhance their access to people and resources,language week was celebrated from 22nd Aug 2016 to 26th Aug 2016.
The learners participated in English Debate Contest, upholding their belief and opinion and presenting their views in favour and against the motion " Are security cameras an invasion of our privacy?" The topic of debate for the juniors was " Do we have less face-to face interactions because of Facebook?"
Sampatti Kohli ( A-Level) bagged the first prize whereas Vishal Chawla (IGCSE-10) stood second. Among the juniors, Rachel Gupta(Checkpoint-7) stood first, followed by Mantej Gill ( Checkpoint-7) who bagged second prize.
A Punjabi play was presented by the students depicting the richness and grandeur of Punjabi heritage.The area of proud and celebration made the audience to ponder over the thought that they need to preserve the treasure they have got,and take their state back to the status of a valuable gem.Brain drain and peasant suicide needs to be curbed in order to save the glory of Punjab's holy soil.
The students presented Hindi poems and couplets with incredible intonation and expression expounding the variety and plentifullness of their mother tongue.they delivered the poetry with incredulous dedication and left the audience overwhelmed.
Stethoscope Making
The students of checkpoint 6th demonstrated flair for innovation,making stethoscopes from recyclable material.They made this useful device and explained its uses to their mentor as an application of their learning and understanding of the concept.The activity was a fruitful
hands on-experience.
Janamashtami
A special assembly was conducted to celebrate Janamashtami,the occasion of birth of lord Krishna.The students presented a devotional song,making the audience dive into the spirit of divinity and piety.Several anecdotes from the life of lord Krishna were recalled along with shloks from Bhagwad Gita along with their meaning and implication,leaving everyone spell bound and brooding.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Cambridge Foundation School basked in the glory
of Independence on the eve of 12th August 2016 with the students unfurling the
colors of Secularism and patriotism through outstanding cultural performances.
The vigorous learners evoked an emotion of universal brotherhood in the
plethora of the school, portraying unity through the tri color attires.
CLASS BOARD AND WALL DECORATION ACTIVITY
The Aura of internationalism prevails at Cambridge International Foundation School when one moves around the corridors,peeping onto the wall displays.These have been put up as an endeavor by the eager beavers who love to explore new horizons as a threshold of growth and change.
IBDP Presentation
A presentation was given by the students of the INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE(DP) wherein they discussed Figures of the Speech in English Language. Different Stylistic devices were explained based on contrast,comparison,association,etc.This was a step towards gauging them in writing effective guided literary analysis.
COLLABORATIVE LEARNING(Checkpoint 7th)
Checkpoint 7 learners were engaged in COLLABORATIVE LEARNING during English class through a group activity centered around describing a place.They were made to explore the parts of the library and write a collectively framed description of it.
